Why is my S5 asking me for a password?

my s5 is asking me for a password

i have tryed google device manager and changed password bt my phone still wont unlock

Welcome to Android Central! Did you forget your password? Android Device Manager actually doesn't work to reset your phone's password. What happens if you fail the unlock enough times--does it prompt you for your Google credentials?
