Why is my S8 still on Android 7.0 Nougat?

I've been absolutely desperate to upgrade finally to Oreo but my Samsung S8 keeps saying that I have no new updates available. I purchased the phone in March 2018 and I had the initial update as it is for new phones but after that - nada!

What could be possibly wrong and why there's still no Oreo update available for me? Could it be something to do with my mobile network provider (Virgin Mobile)?

I live in the UK btw if that matters.

Where was the phone purchased? Was it a unit actually intended for the UK?

Hi.
I have the same problem. I live in Sweden and my first s8 was stolen so I bought another s8 in Germany because there they had a better price. Is it important that I have bought it in another country even if it was inside Europe?

Your provider determines when they will make it available. Att took forever when I was with them.
