why is my samsung androied having google play pop up nonstop

hello !! i have a Samsung galaxy S4 mini i love it so much but hears my problem a week ago i was on Facebook on my phone i got off then it had a pop up saying "unfortunately, google play services has stopped" my dad and i have been researching trying to find out how to get rid of this but not deleting anything someone said you gotta wipe out everything start over :/ will that's kinda stupid i think so please get back to me on this it'd be awesome if i know how to fix it today thanks

Welcome.

First, try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to the Google Play Services app and select Clear Cache. A Power Off and Restart thereafter may also be a good idea.
