Samsung Grand duos i9082 battery draining version 4.2.2

Since I updated my phone the battery is draining very quickly. This appears to be a common problem but i am unsure how to fix it. Ies tells me I have the most updated version my baseband is xxubmh2. Can anyone give me some simple steps to take to rectify it. If i do a reboot or factory restore will this help. Someone suggested disabling applications but when i go to do this I get a warning that it may affect other built in apps. Help! Don't want to have to buy a new phone

Before we go any further, what do your battery stats show to be the main users of charge, after your battery has discharged to the point where you are about to recharge it?

Regarding apps, the warning is standard, and although some apps can be safely enough disabled in spite of the warning, it would be better not to do that unless you are reasonably sure that they are draining battery.

The Factory Reset might help - and might not - but it's a hassle and it would be better to try to fix the drain via simpler methods first, so giving us the battery stats details will be a first step. :)

Re: Samsung Grand duos i9082 battery draining version 4.2.2

Couldn't work out how to reply on a different computer. When I look at the battery it says biggest user is android os at 32%with next biggest the screen at 22% battery is currently at 66%. Looking at different forums this definitely seems to be to do with the update I did. Apparently they did bring out a new one to fix it but kies tells me I have most up to date. I have done all the usual things in terms of power save, I turn off wifi and gps regularly and have even deleted a couple of apps to no avail.

Their is noway to fix this issue! I have gone to all the methods on my galaxy grand duos but nothing worked out. Samsung's mobiles just sucks!

With my device its only lasted for max 2hrs and that too in power saving mode. Samsung's device are not durable. On battery it says the capacity is 2400mah but I've installed a application called phone tester that tells information about device and there it says 1500mah capacity!

It seems the update of firmware and OS destroyed battery life and also my camera affected! Now it very very poor quality. I've searched to buy new battery but as it seems online websites are filled with fake batteries of samsung device, their are very different price for just a same battery and cust those who purchased it, commented in negative way and we not even expect that corner electronic shop to provide a genuine battery.
