Why is my screen off?

AC Question

why is my screen off?

I have an htc desire 626s and while I was watching some videos on my phone, the screen turned off. I turned it back on but the screen was still off. I could tell it was on by that when I swiped up and clicked where the keybord would've been, the phone vibrated, indicating that letters were being typed. I've been looking everywhere for help but couldn't find anything on the issue, although, I did find a similar article about the same thing happening to the htc one and one x. It said to twist the phone, bend the phone, and hit the phone on a hard surface, but, I did not want to damage my phone by doing this, so that is why I am here. The same article also stated that this issue woukd usually happen when charging the phone with a slightly bended or folded micro usb. I really need help with this, as I use my phone about 15 hours of the day. Thank you.

Re: why is my screen off?

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the screen has either failed or is suffering from a loose connection. You should probably bring it to a repair shop, or contact HTC if it's still under warranty.
