Why is my screen on my Galaxy S 3 tablet not responding to touch?

why is my screen on my Galaxy S 3 tablet not responding to touch.

Tablet will turn on and off ok. But when I turn it on the screen will not respond when I touch it. Took it apart to check if there was any loose wires but there was none.

Try a Cache Partition wipe. If no good, the digitiser may have failed.
