why is my touch screen not working on samsung galaxy 2 10.1 tab?

I had a cracked screen..tab was working fine with it cracked but got a replacement screen and fixed it..everything seems fine except it don't do anything when I touch the screen..power on and off fine..volume fine..it moves she. I rotate screen....I reset it..I factory reset it...took it apart several times to be sure it was all correct...please any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central.

It's possible that
a) You may have damaged the device when removing the old screen, or
b) You have not fitted the screen properly, or have done some damage without knowing it, or
c) The new screen is faulty.

I have the same problem.

I am quite sure that the new screen touch is fine (it is the second one I bought).
There's no hardware damage, when I connect the scratched one is still working.

It seems that there's another version of touch screen but I do not know how to update it or change it.

Any ideas ?
