Why is my yahoo push notifications not working on my samsung note 8?

I can not get the push notifications, such as 2 step log in verifications to push threw, and I also can not get the email notifications to work.
I have gone threw all of the settings alowing yahoo practically every ability my phone offers access. and still no luck.

Welcome to Android Central. I have never gotten push to work with Yahoo, but they're a third level email and I don't pay for their pro version. I believe that is required. I do have the account setup in Gmail on the phone and it works fine manually.

I have both, a Yahoo and Gmail account.. I will def look into this when my Note 8 arrives.. FYI.. My G-Flex on KitKat 4.4.2 pushes both just fine.. Exact same time as my iPad.

Mine are coming through but I am using Tesla unread and lightflow as well so maybe that is why I am seeing them.

It depends on what yahoo app your using not all are suported there was even a email about this months ago ayleast advising me for my setup

I had a samsung note 4 previously. I got push notifications from yahoo all the time. Im downloaded the same yahoo app onto this phone. M y phone says android version 7.1.1 Kernal version 4.4.21

I had the same problem. I had to remove the Yahoo App, clear the cache then go to the Playstore and install Yahoo mail again. Just don't add an Account in Accounts you have to install the Yahoo App

Finally got it to work. The phone came out with an update over night and i installed it. I did a force stop on the app. Deleted the acount under acounts. deleted the app again. re-downloaded and installed the app. then logged into my email and it stated working properly.

im still not getting a notification in my notification bar for yahoo mail...
