Why is Standalone GPS killing my battery since the switch to Froyo?

Lots of people have been discussing battery issues and I have read most of them. I am running Superclean Froyo and have since determined that my battery issues are directly related to the Standalone GPS Service being left on. I always left it on prior when running 2.1 and never had this issue. My battery lasted twice as long then vs. now. Does anyone know why and is there a fix for it besides turning Standalone GPS on each time I wanna use it?

the stupid thing wont go to sleep.no fix yet. once we get the source code this will get resolved. just turn gps off until you need it in the mean time.
