Why is the Samsung keyboard so illiterate

I'm glad it's not just me. The autocorrect has been a royal pain for me so far. I will have to try some of the aftermarket keyboards, for sure!

I seem in the minority but I like the stock keyboard and I didn't like Gboard that much. I almost always turn off the predictive feature, I hate it. I haven't had any trouble with the stock one. Gboard's autocorrect was too agressive for me. It refused to believe some of the things I typed even though they were correct. Another instance of how cool it is to have a lot of choices for different people.

Add your emails (full email with .com) and perhaps even usernames to your dictionary....

I liked the BlackBerry keyboard alot when I used to have a Z30. Switched to SwiftKey when I got my first android phone, the S7Edge. I'm still using SwiftKey.

I've used Hacker's Keyboard for years. I like it because it has arrow keys, Ctrl and Alt keys, an Esc key, and a pretty decent dictionary.

An amusing thing about the built-in autocorrect is that it kept inserting apostrophes between acronyms and the "s" that I add to make them plural. It is always incorrect to use an apostrophe when making any word, phrase, abbreviation, or acronym plural. I always figured the internet and lazy texting kids, etc., made this abomination popular. Now it has spread to an autocorrect program! Hah!

I thought it was just me, but the swype on the Samsung keyboard cones up with done wild ideas of what I'm typing. without lifting my finger, it will come up with three completely unrelated impossible sentence structured words. it will even come up with some wild slang such as "g'day". LMAO

I use Gmail, tried Stock and the autoc-correct or predict was driving me nuts...I love Gmail, different themes that you can customize. I always turn off auto-correct. That thing will correct every single word in Creole....lmao.

Yeah the BlackBerry keyboard is what I use, it's great especially with the update you got the mockery, emojis, arrow controls and clipboard right at your disposal.

I've not found a perfect keyboard yet but I think Gboard is close. It still changes always to airways 80% of the time for me for some stupid reason and I swipe instead of typing out letters.

I'm trying to learn to proof read anything I write on my phone but sometimes I forget.

Couple days in, haven't got to play with everything yet but should get a lot of play time today one thing's for sure.. the keyboard is still awful. I thought after all this time it would be better or different... how can they do such amazing things and totally bomb on this lol.. Guess it's back to Gboard unless anyone has better suggestions
