Why is the Thunderbolt any better than any other droid?

iam interested in it because iam on a storm 1 an its something that just grabs my attention. not just cause of its 4.3 display but the amount it can hold an it quickness. I would get the fascinate but its still on 2.1 an thats a draw back to me. I could even get the X but i really dont care for moto blur.

it sucks, that is one disadvantage of an HTC device.

Looks like I'll have to be investing in some screen protectors.

I'm running Froyo on my Fascinate and I still want this beast. I miss CM.:'(

DROID is Mottorla's term., but ti doesn't mean you can call other android phones droids since thats pretty much what they are.

and Mike, just get an iPhone. It seems you just want a single phone each year with a single fisher price looking OS with a small baby sized screen that you have to have your hand held when using. Noit sure why you thought it would be funny to come here and cause trouble,

Not entirely true. The Dinc And Dinc s/2 are HTC devices and have the droid branding on them.

There is still the Droid Bionic and The Droid Incredible s/2

Well we don't know if Verizon will get the Incredible S we might see T-Mobile get it i would love to see VZW get it but I think they are going to use the "Droid" brand for Motorola devices. I for one would love that... I'm sick of all the... "Is That the Droid?" It's a Pet P eve of mine

My friend has an Ascend and he keeps calling it a droid... I had to explain to him that it's and android phone and that "Droid" was a brand name.

Technically LTE (Long Term Evolution) isn't actually 4G but a refinement of 3G that's actually more like 3.9G. True 4G, LTE Advanced, is still in the testing stages currently, and isn't expected to be finalized until around 2012, which means that it will be much later by the time the carriers get around to testing it for themselves and integrating it into their networks

I'm sorry, but isn't the whole point of a forum is to discuss opinions? Actually i'll give you the definition because you seem like you don't know it.

forum - a public meeting or assembly for open discussion

I'm not trying to be a bad guy here, i'm simply just trying to make a decision because my upgrade is up. I don't need people jumping down my throat because i'm sharing my opinions.

You tell us why you would choose an iPhone, because honestly I cannot think of one single solitary reason to choose an iPhone.

People always call my Huawei Ascend a Droid and I face palm because after explaining they still don't get the concept.

The HTC Thunderbolt does have "Gorilla Glass" ... it's the same stuff that Gorilla Glass is (Opaque Aluminum Silicon Base, look it up), just not officially branded.

So screen protectors are unnecessary.

Any proof in stone about that? Not doubting you...but that would be a huge plus if true!

Proof in stone? Not sure how much "in stone" it is, but HTC reps tell you that the screen is made from "Opaque aluminum silicone base" and if you look up gorillia glass it calls itself "Alkali aluminosilicate" or something like that.

Like I said, you can Google it to see what I've seen.

My question was it Gorilla glass or something similar....
Gorilla glass is the standard, what this phone has is something similar.

That was my question before you edited your post...that's why I asked.

I did google it....and no HTC phone uses "gorilla glass" but they do use a very nice glass on their products.

From my understanding, it's the exact same stuff that Gorilla Glass is, just not called Gorilla Glass. Kinda like how you can get "Tylenol" or "Acetaminophen". Same stuff, just one is a branded version.
