Why isn't Google maps connecting properly with my parrot hands free?

Google maps not connecting properly with my parrot hands free.

i have a Sony Xperia Z3, and a Parrot hands free in my VW Golf. For a while my Google maps worked brilliantly, voice came through the stereo speakers crystal clear. But now it is very intermittant. Sound like the comedian "Freddy Parrot Face Davis" I have no idea how to correct this.

Welcome to Android Central! Does the headset work normally on other devices? If not, then it's probably an issue with the headset. My wife went through a few BlueParrotts that kept failing. Their sound quality is good, but not sure about their build quality.
