Why isn't my google home turning music off when I ask it?

I go to bed with music on and for the last few years I've been able to ask my google home to turn off in 20min so that it doesn't play all night after I fall asleep. Now it doesn't turn off. It just plays all night. It'll take the commands but I'll wake up hours later to music still playing. HELP!

Unfortunately this was (allegedly) a conscious choice on Google's side. According to reports (and personal experience for weeks now), sleep timers have been broken on Google Home for a couple months now. Some reports claim that Google disabled this on purpose and there is no timeframe/update as to when (if at all) it will be restored or which option they'll replace it with.
