Why isn't my keyboard working on my Android Notebook?

[AC Question]

Keyboard on android notebook not working so cannot sign in either.

Managed to get into apps, keyboard and then disable/enable, also tried factory reset but no joy, Anyone any ideas?

It's a longshot but heres something you can try. If you have an OTG cable then connect an external keyboard to your phone. If that works and you've logged in download a keyboard from the Play store like Google Keyboard or SwiftKey

You can also download a keyboard (SwiftKey etc) to the phone via the Play Store on a pc, as I guess you can't type on the Play Store app unless you happen to find a Keyboard in recommended / top selling / most downloaded apps.

Try resetting default settings, or going to apps/Applications Manager - menu - Reset App Preferences.
