Why isn't my phone charging?

I have a Samsung s5, and it isn't charging. It started last night, so I took out the battery to give it a break and went to bed. I put everything back in place this morning and plugged it in, and it still won't charge. So, I turned it off, and it begins to charge a little, then stops. It does that repeatedly on the charger. I've tried different cords, and they all work. Someone help.

It could be the battery. I'd suggest starting there and see if that fixes the problem. If you just got the phone go to the retailer and see if they can assist. Otherwise, you can find a low cost replacement online.
