Why my phone freezes when i plug my earphone?

Hi this is my problem plss help me at first i was making a hole through my jelly case because my case is for j7 and my phone is on7 now theres a difference in the audio jack and i love to listen to music so i made a hole just now but every time i plug my earphone my phone freezes and will auto restart whats the problem of these? Did i damaged anything inside the audio jack?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you make the hole while the phone was still in the case? What did you use to make the hole, and is it possible you jammed it into the jack in the process?
