Why Sell Your iPhone for the Nexus 4?

WIth the camera being so much better on iPhone 5 and many other reasons, why would anyone want to git rid of their iPhone for the Nexus4?
Better be careful, Apple invented saying ridiculous things. I smell lawsuit.

But seriously my buddy is a huge Apple guy and i love android. Every time we get together we at some point have a 5 min pissing match comparing the features of our phones. It's actually pretty even and it all comes down to preference.

Because the nexus is a better phone, it's the only reason.

And what are the supposed many other reasons?

It's more reasons to get a nexus than an iPhone 5 - a phone that would have been great if released 2 years ago

sent from the best smart phone (not phablet) on the worst network- the galaxy S III unfortunately on T-Mobile

In addition to just really liking the Nexus devices, the main thing with me is I'm a geek and like to change and tinker with things. Android is just fun and different and I love the customization. I've had the Iphone 4 and 5. IOS is boring and I grew tired of the Iphone 5 quickly just like I have in the past with my prevoius Iphone's. Having an Ipad doesn't help because it feels like just a bigger version of the same thing. I can comfortably do more with it because of the bigger screen.

I also love the bigger screens on the Android phones and the 4" on the Iphone 5 still wasn't enough for me.

If I were not so into phones I would probably stick with the Iphone. It does everything I need and just works with no issues. I think that's why it's so popular with the everyday user. I can count on one hand the amount of times a app has force closed on me.

I also got a lot of money selling the Iphone 5. Enough to buy a Nexus 4 & 10.

The off-contract price of the 16GB iPhone5 is $650. Let's say someone on contract dropped theirs and needs a replacement. They'd probably happily buy one for $500 if it was in really good condition.

$300 N4 8GB + $200 N7 16GB = $500.

So, yeah, I could easily see selling a gently-used iPhone 5 for more than enough to buy a Nexus 4 AND 7.

My buddy on at&t upgraded to an iPhone 5 then sold it for $800 to a poor sap and is currently using his galaxy s3. It's a good idea but it has its draw backs because now he's locked into a 2 year contract.

I started with the 3gs and I currently have the 4s. When my Nexus 4 comes in, my 4s will be my wife's and her 4 is going to her niece. iOS doesn't do it for me any longer. I have had to jailbreak my iphones and my 4s has so many tweaks installed on it just to get it to perform the way I want it to. Sure the camera is good. My wifes 4 year old Canon p&s takes better photos as does my Canon XSi. When I want to take real photos on my 1 yr old those are what I use. When I want to take photos on the fly, I use my smartphone and I am sure they will look just fine. My dad has the iphone 5 and I have played around with it a few times. I just doesn't excite me the way other new iphones have. I am very excited for the arrival of my 16gb N4 however!

Really? A friend of mine who has the iphone 5, says its "impossible" to take pictures outside without it looking purple, he says he got $140 from Apple for the iphone 4 because of the antenna issue (I can't confirm though), this he's counting on getting more money from Apple for the purple cam

I haven't sold mine yet, have the 64gb version and I figure I can pull at least $800 for it which will cover my N4, give me money to replace the apps I've accumulated over 5 years on iOS, and still have about $300 to pocket.
