I feel the exact opposite. I need more than 8gb so I opted for a 32 gb card which is serving me perfectly.
that is my point! screw the 8 gig card. give me 8 gigs of internal memory, and let me add my own card. i.e. a 32 gig card. The evo only had 250 megs of space for apps after all the internal stuff / forced apps, and you can't move many apps to the 32 gig card. They just wasted my money on an 8 gig card I ended up throwing away when I put in a 32 gig card. (make it internal.... not an internal SD like the Kyocera Torque. It has 2 gigs. 1 gig internal, and 1 gig built in SD card. That internal SD card sits empty because I put in my own 32 gig card. Give me the 2 gigs internal as a single internal card, and let me put in the SD card -- 6 firmware updates, and they need one to merge the two partitions into one)

Yea, but you just threw away an 8 gig SD card. There are enough apps that can't be moved to an SD card, that they need an ample amount of internal memory (NOT internal SD)
