Grain of Salt, or two, or three.

But if you take a look @ all the official Sprint Banner tech specs, non of them mention the megapixels on the camera, or the speed of the CPU.

The only place I've seen it listed, is on Google's site, but again, that site is all about the Verizon version still.

One can dream right? :p

Going by the past, all Sprint's flagship phones have posted the exact tech specs prior to launch.

I'm hoping for this too. It will give people more reason to want it with a late release.

WOW! I would go nuts if the Sprint GNex sported a 1.5GHz processor and an 8mp cam. Maybe the exclusive GNex deal with Verizon went something like this. Verizon gets the GNex first and Sprint cannot release or even talk about a release date in Q1 of 2012. BUT….Sprint can bump the specs.

Your guess is as good as mine...I don't see it happeing. :'(

That would be great although megapixels aren't everything on a camera. although the camera isnt on par with the sgs24gt it is so close its crazy.

I would rather have a better camera sensor than more mp. Any chance of getting a 2500 mah battery option?

I have a Verizon gnex and even tho everybody says the megapixel doesn't matter, it does matter. My Droid incredible took better photos than my nexus. And my average battery life on my nexus is 8 hours! So hopefully sprint puts a bigger battery in it for ya!

Yeah, if there are no spec bumps for this phone, I'm gonna go with the HTC one x when it comes on to sprint (and maybe the SGS3 if I can wait that long).

I myself will for sure get this phone im sick of poor support on skinned phones and i have a photon 4g with 8mp and my epic 4g with 5mp takes way better pics so mp do not matter

Should watch review clips on the camera. Its pretty nice..

Well the leaked training docs say it all. This is the SAME device as on Verizon. Wake me when the next Nexus phone comes out...:'(

Initially, I felt the same way. But this Galaxy Nexus is no slouch.

I too, would've bought the Galaxy Nexus but it's just that the timing of its release (sometime in April) is too late. In the world of technology, a lot can happen in four months and it just seems that all these new phones that are soon to come to Sprint (like the Sprint variant of the HTC One X) seem to be quite better than the Galaxy Nexus.

Came here looking to see if this possibility had been discussed, and it was the first thread on here. :) I, too, am concerned about the reviews of the Galaxy Nexus that say it's camera is sub-par, and wondered if maybe Sprint's version of the GNex would improve it.

I guess we'll find out for sure in a few weeks.

For me, if the camera hasn't been improved upon, I will almost certainly go with the HTC One X (EVO One X, whatever it'll be called -- 8 more hours till THAT information).

Wow, so what's the incentive to buy? smh.

I guess the fact that the Nexus is still a much slicker looking phone. Not everyone could give a rats behind what under the hood, long as it works.

It's pure ICS, and will probably be what alot of people on the Nexus S will buy as a new phone. IMHO

Sent from my GNex

I'm actually seeing it as a nice spec bump over my Nexus S.

I will get 32GB's of storage (about to experiment with Google Music & their free 20,000 song upload), as i don't have nearly 32GB worth of music, all will fit, plus my apps, and 1000's of pics & vids.

The speed, dual core over single any day at this point.

Camera works fine as is, i have a digital SLR if i need it.

Bigger Screen = better for viewing porn, really, who doesn't like a bigger screen for their porn enjoyment?

So that's that... oh, and i don't have to worry about that whole upgrade process (i have a separate biz account, as many upgrades as i need, so i can switch phones on the fly whenever, wherever if want to try something else out.)

And there you have it.

I am on VZ and have the GN. I recently switched from Sprint and had the E4GT, EVO 3D and EVO 4G. This is my first Nexus device and I must say even though some of the newer phones might have some better specs, there is something to be told about a pure Android experience with ICS. I do not know if I would have felt this way with GB or their prior OS's but ICS does not need any help.

My next phone will probably need to be another Nexus device because I think I am now spoiled to the pure Google experience. Why ruin a great thing. Oh, and running the GN in tablet mode is something that just cannot be beat!

As for the camera, I can probably convince you the pictures below were taken with the E4GT, an iPhone 4s, or even the EVO LTE. But guess what, it is pictures taken with the GN! How much better can you really want...

And here is a picture of the GN running in tablet mode. Much better use of the beautiful 4.65" 720p screen.

6.5" gn? did you mean 4.65"?

i think the gn is fine camera for taking outside picture in a bright and sunny day. heck a lot of sub par phone camera can take decent pix under those circumstances. i believe it's durig darker conditions where the gn suffers. then again i could be wrong, someone please correct me if i am. from what i had read, the 4.04 update suppose to fix some of the camera issues, not sure if that's true or not. I sure hope it is since i am probably going to get a GN first, and maybe moving to the new evo later.
