Why us my MI box not picking up the home wifi

[Android Central Question]

My MI box isn't picking up the wifi connection on my smart tv but the wifi is working as our cell phones connect to wifi. Please help. It did initially find it when first plugged MI box into t.v then it went away after a day or 2. Thank you

Do you mean that the wi-fi network doesn't show up as an option, or that it's connected but not working?
