Why wont any apps or pictures save to my sd card?

I have a LG Realm from Boost Mobile. I went to Wal-Mart an hoir ago and bought a 16GB micro sd card and mounted into my phone with no problems. No apps will go over to the sd card, no photos, nothing, i don't know what to do now...
