After receiving my Galaxy Nexus from the mail I decided to hook up the phone to its charger to see if anything happened and nothing did. After going on Google's Nexus help page to help solve my issue I still could not manage to turn the phone on. I bought an external battery charger to charge the battery and after having 100% full charge it still would not turn on.The phone will not respond to charge or battery. Please help!

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you get the phone? The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a very old phone, so it is clearly a used device--are you sure it isn't defective, which is perhaps why the seller wanted to get rid of it?

The battery might just be dead, in which case a charger wouldn't help. A dead lithium battery that is completely discharged can't be revived. You could see if a new battery helps. But if it doesn't, I suspect your phone is a dud. Contact the seller and request a refund.

I have a universal battery charger that indicated that the battery was charged 100% so it can't be dead.
