Why wont my Galaxy s5 acknowledge ive put an sd card ini

When I go to settings storage there is no mount or format sd card option only internal storage options.

Pull it out. Gently polish the gold contacts. Put back in. Reboot the device.
If that fails, try the card on another device. Try a different card in yours. Just to establish where the fault lies.
