Why won't my Keyboard work on my Galaxy S3 after updates?

Keyboard won't work on my Galaxy S3 after updates

A while ago my Galaxy S3 did some updates. My keyboard quit working. When I go into settings to fix it, the check mark is checked for keyboard however it is gray and I am unable to change it. Had to download and use Swype. Does anyone know anything about this?

Welcome to Android Central! When you tapped on a text field, would nothing happen at all, or would you see an error message telling you that unfortunately Samsung Keyboard has stopped?
