Why won't my Moto G7 support contact downloads to my car?

I have just changed my car to a Jaguar F Pace 2021 MY. My phone a Moto G7 Power, running Android 10, paired without any problem, but in the car, I got the screen message " YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT SUPPORT CONTACT DOWNLOADS" I had a similar problem with this phone in my previous car a Range Rover Velar but the problem was solved when I installed the Bluetooth Phonebook app. This time, the app did not solve the problem. I am aware that the developers of the app had problems with Google and they recommend deleting the original app and re-installing it via Amazon Appstore. I've done this but it still won't allow the contacts to download.

Can anyone offer any advice, please?

Hi,
I've done that and sure enough, when it's connected by cable I get my contact list on the screen in the car. Unfortunately, when I disconnect the cable I lose the list. Is there any way I can download the contacts list and read it without being connected by cable?
I can move your question to AA forums ? Not familiar with setup AA in the car .

These car systems work best when you're actively using Android Auto with your phone connected. I can't say for sure, but it's always possible for a car's firmware to have incompatibilities with some of the countless phones out there. Using the Android Auto interface ensures that you won't have problems with that.
