Why won't my Nexus 5 connect to the internet?

Nexus 5 will not connect to Internet

I have two Nexus 5 phones--neither is activated as a telephone. One of the phones automatically searched for, downloaded and installed Lollipop. The other phone continually says 4.4.4 is "current update," and the phone will not connect to the Internet (or e-mail) to check for updates. Can anyone assist with what button(s) to push to get this phone on the update trail? Thank you.

With Android not all of the Nexus phones will get the update at the same time. Like your situation where one got it and the other one didn't. Just wait a few days and the update should come to it.
