Why wont my Nexus 7 4.3 recognise bluetooth keyboard

Have tried rebooting, turning wireless off but my Nexus 7 keeps saying there are no nearby bluetooth devices. It is a Logitech keyboard that my Samsung phone recognises but not the Nexus??

Welcome to Android Central! Is there a Connect button on the keyboard that you have to press for other devices to see it?

Does the Nexus 7 detect other Bluetooth devices, like a headset or speakers?

There is only the on/off button, which when on other devices see and sync with it.
Is this the type keyboard your talking about?

If so, then there is a connect button on the bottom of the keyboard.

Hmm. It might be a hardware issue with the tablet. The 2012 N7 is getting pretty long in the tooth, so I wouldn't be surprised if things started to malfunction.

See if turning wi-fi off makes a difference--sometimes, wi-fi can interfere with Bluetooth (if you're using 2.4 GHz wi-fi).

Also, a factory reset might be worth trying. But I'm leaning more towards hardware problem.

Well just after accepting it is a hardward problem, it recognised a nearby bluetooth device in a cafe!
So I guess I will try the factory reset...thanks for you help. Guess I should just front up and buy a new one
