Why won't my Nexus 7 wake up since the 5.1 update?

[AC Question]

nexus 7 wont "wake up" since the 5.1 update

Since I have done the newest update, 5.1, every time my tablet goes to sleep I can not wake it up and in order to turn it on I have to hold down the power button for 30 seconds. if I play music it wont go to sleep and its fine for hours but if I don't do anything then it just goes blank. Anyone know how to fix it? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Bring it to your carrier and ask for assistance. It's just another LolliFlop bug.

Mine does it too and it's just WiFi.

I dont have a carrier. I got is as a christmas gift and dont know where they got it. I use it on WiFi. Any other suggestions?

Oh and I've tried doing a factory reset and nope it still has 5.1 :-( Dont know what to do.

I've recently been having the exact same problem. Only happens when I let it go to sleep on its own. Putting it to sleep manually by pressing the power button doesn't lead to this problem. Just like the other poster, I did a complete factory data reset, and even set it up as a new tablet (as opposed to a back-up) to no avail. Hope someone has a suggestion to fix this...
