why won't my note edge Messenger download photos and large files?

I have a Samsung Note Edge. It is unlocked GSM phone. Use Straight Talk for service which is unlimited.
When I use the app Messenger it fails to download photos and files. Is there a size limit somewhere on my phone that is preventing the downloads?

Check the messenger app settings to see if there is a file limit. There should be something in there that you can adjust.

Most carriers (and ST uses 4, so we don't know which one you're having a problem with) limit messages to 1MB, so any picture over that size won't go. The problem usually occurs when someone on an iPhone sends you a large picture (iMessage has no size limit), it gets to your carrier's server and your carrier drops it because it's larger than 10MB. The text still says there's a picture, but it's not on the server for you to get.
