Why won't my Samsung Galaxy kids tablet charge?

samsung galaxy kids tablet wont charge

My daughters galaxy tablet ( yellow ,orange casing ) ran flat. Went to recharge it but no recharge light come on. Whilist charger still connected to it, the tablet gets quite warm and still wont charge.
Any answers to solve my problem?

If it gets warm, something is consuming power from the charger. It could be a short circuit somewhere in the tablet r it could be an internally shorted battery. (Never allow the battery to fall below 40% charge - that's an easy way to kill it quickly.)
