Why won't my stock calling app open?

why won't my stock calling app open.

I just updated my galaxy note 3 to Android 5.0 and now every time i try to open my stock calling app it gives me an error that says "item not installed. Search google play or select another app?" Everything else works fine but I can't call anyone. Any help would be great

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you're tapping the Phone icon on the homescreen. What happens if you open your App Drawer and tap the Phone icon there?

They changed the app so you just have to replace the shortcut on your homescreen with the one in the app drawer.
