Why would this patent infringement only affect the ONE X and EVO?

I must be missing a huge part of the story here. If the issue revolves around software then wouldn't it be more widespread? The way I see it is that either the info we have been supplied so far is purely fabricated OR we are in for an indefinite delay.

I'm curious as to why the One S for T-Mobile wasn't included.

Because the One X and EVOLTE are iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 killas!!

Did some digging... apparently there was an ITC ruling that goes into effect after April 19th...

Also we will be losing a feature if what I am reading is true...apparently apple owns the idea of being able to click 123 555 0123 and call someone or anything that reads text and knows what it should do with certain numbers and such... this is total bs if you ask me and I think Sprint and AT&T should cancel their contract's with Apple.

In case people are curious

I agree that it seems that Apple may have requested tighter scrutiny of these phones because of their larger impact on the market. Otherwise, it does seem like it should affect all of their recently released phones.

According to this: HTC: Data-Tapping Feature Will Remain on Phones | News & Opinion | PCMag.com, HTC should have just removed the ability to do one of a few actions after clicking on the phone number. Instead, the phone should just perform a default action, like load a dialer to call the number.

Ya I have read this... regardless this is affecting two major carriers business. Apple needs to be shown that they don't own the smartphone industry and can be ruined.

You think apple gives a crap about 2 carriers when there are literally hundreds more they service around the world?

And people wonder why I don't like Apple anymore. I wish they would stop the BS lawsuits, put more time and effort into their next product cycle and stop being hypocritical.
They stole the notification center from WebOS and Android. Yet no one has sued them over it.
iPhone is not the only/best device their is. I wish they would just put their money and foxua into r & d then let the public decide.

I think the answer to this question is quite simple. EVOs and One X's were going to sell millions. The One S, was going to be hundreds of thousands. Simple matter of they wanted to impact as many as they could.
