Wi-fi NOT Disconnecting Sometimes

After reading through the copious amounts of wi-fi related posts I did not find a direct answer to anyone else able to resolve this issue. Only a few that have experienced it. That said...

I have noticed a few times that when leaving the range of a wi-fi area that the connection does not always drop. For example, at least two times this week I have been connected to my work wi-fi and my home wi-fi networks. After leaving the range of those networks the connection should drop and connect to 3G/4G (yes I have 4G in my area). However they do not and I am forced to manually turn wi-fi on and off before it looks for a 3G/4G connection. It is not just with the two network I described here. I have also noticed it on a couple of public networks as well.

Has anyone had this issue and found a solution for it? I am hoping that the next maintenance release might fix this but only time will tell when the next one comes out.

BTW - I have not experienced any of the issues where connections drop or can't obtain a connection to a network.

Thanks.

Mine does the same thing. Leave home but won't disconnect. And mine won't connect to 3g. until I reboot phone. Been this way since update

Did you do a factory reset? If not you should. Both of you.

My evolte, does this all the time, on stock, or mean Rom, to stock with goodies, dirty flash,or factory reset, still persists after radio flashes It happens mostly when I am in the car a mile later, when I notice I still have no Pandora I have to trun it off to get the connection to switch.

I have done a factory reset and the problem "seems" to be gone now. However, I will watch things for a few days and see if I still have issues. I am not totally convinced that this will resolve the issue since there are still issues with wi-fi in general even after the the latest update.

Mine does this from time to time. I cant tell a pattern of when/where. I think it is an another issue with the phone.

I actually did a hard reset and it seems to have cleared this issue and a couple more. I am starting to think that hard resets after and update is the best thing to do if you start having issues that you didn't have before the update. Every time I have had an update that causes problems hard resetting takes care of it 99% of the time.
