I am running XtraSense on my Eris for a few months now. But for the past 2 weeks, the wi-fi widget on/off button doesn't turn on wi-fi. I have to go to settings then wireless networks then wifi settings and it'll then turn on automatically. I used to use dogfish's wifi widget, that stopped working, so I am using the stock widget, same thing. It'll shut it off, but doesn't turn it on.
Also lately, I'm getting a msg that I have low space on my phone. I removed a few apps that I liked, like pinball deluxe (I know - 13MB but I really like it!), removed go launcher, etc. Any ideas how I can get more memory?
And finally any ideas on how to change the gps voice or settings? I have a Garmin Nuvi with 2009 apps and am so glad that I found that this phone works like a gps too.

Thanks a bunch

I've never had problems with that widget, but you can also try installing the Android power control widget, which has a WiFi control. It sounds like more of a system issue, though.

If you like Go Launcher, rather than running xtrSENSE, you may want to consider xtrROM, which has the Sense launcher removed. That should save a little bit of space. You can think of xtrROM ss the "bring your own launcher" version of xtrSENSE.

If you use the stock email app (not Gmail - Gmail is fine), there is a problem that messages never get deleted and the space continues to be consumed. If you need to use an email app, the free market app K9 is much, much better anyway.

Also, you may want to keep SMS messages to a minimum, though I doubt that clearing that will help.

One other thing that you could try is to start the phone in recovery and wipe dalvik cache from the wipe menu, though I really doubt that will help all that much.

xtrROM: [ROM][GPL] xtrROM5.0.1 odex,cache2cache,apps2sd,jit,lwp,oc[3/29/2011] - xda-developers

Thanks for your advice. Finally found an app "wifi fixer' that solved my wi-fi problem.
As for email. I just use the Yahoo app and retrieve my email that way. I tried K-9 but didn't like that you didn't have a check mark to just simply delete emails. I get a lot of junk.
