Wi-Fi stops when phone sleeps

I wake up my phone and unlock it. Each time, I notice that the phone switches from Wi-Fi to 4G when the phone is asleep - even though I have never left the house with an excellent Wi-Fi signal.

Anyone figured out how to prevent the phone from switching to 4G during sleep?

Kills my battery. Thank you!

Well, turning off Mobile network service prevents the phone from switching to 4G during sleep; sucks to have to do that throughout the day.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Anyone else experiencing this same issue?

Thanks.

Thank you. So, this happens on the Thunderbolt, too?

Never had the issue on my DInc. Maybe it's a common problem on HTC 4G devices?

Have you tried

Settings>Wireless and Networks>Wifi settings

Then hit the "Menu" capacitive button and choose "Advanced"

Under "Wi-Fi sleep policy", change it to "Never".

I have mine set like that (never) but still seems to do it.

It fixed the issue on my end. After confirming the setting was saved, maybe a reboot will help. Just a guess since my phone rebooted (itself) while I was using the camera.
