Wi-Fi Tether-HELP

Ok. here is the situation. I have a Motorola Droid X. Rooted and installed wireless tether for root users from the market. I turn it on and it recognizes and connects with my computer. BUT it shows that there is no internet access in my connections icon on the toolbar. I have even changed the ssid because i have heard tat fixes it sometimes, but to no avail.

I need someone with experience to tell me what i am doing wrong please.

I had the same problem with Barnacle on 2.2 until I enabled the "Skip wpa_supplicant" option in settings... now it connects just fine

Where is the skip wpa_supplicant option?

You can check it in settings within the app itself.
