wierd problem with droid

Every time I access any video on youtube or play a song on my Droid it sounds like if its Alvin and the chipmoncks. The audio goes in to a high pitch squeaky sounnd and doesn't come out of it. Any ideas????

hardware issue? That sounds like a physical speaker issue more than anything else...how does the speakerphone work for you?

Speaker has been on the frits too. I hope a reset or battery pull will fix it.
