WiFi and 4g on at same time

I just did the update on Verizon this weekend on my Galaxy s4 and now when I am on my wifi, the 4g icon lights up. I do not get the upload-download arrows on the 4g icon at home, so it appears to be the wifi is the one working. Any suggestions?

It just shows what quality data connection you're in - It will still always use Wifi over mobile data first. No worries! If you're really concerned about it, you can always disable mobile data while you're on wifi, but the only time mobile data would be used while connected to a wireless network is when the wireless network doesn't give internet access in which point it will auto disconnect.

Mine are both staying on at the same time and you can see the 4G symbol change as it downloads data every so often.
