I am currently at a Carolina Panthers football game. An iPhone user near me couldn't connect to the network, so I let him use my signal. Hilarious! I have a screenshot, but it looks like .png files are not supported.

Yes, I am rooted (see signature). Yes, Verizon does charge for mobile wifi hotspot.

Is using rooted mobile wifi any more stable than the Verizon gateway? I'm trying to use it here at a car dealership and it seems to fall down every 10-15 minutes even though I have "Always On' set. Going to get my $20 back and unrEVOke my phone today.

Once rooted, you can change anything you like. I have mine set as the rEVOlution theme and its basically just the white/red red version of that battery icon.
