WiFi icon says there is no Internet but I am connected

The wifi icon on notification bar has exclamation mark on it and says there is no Internet but the Internet is working on it, all apps that require Internet work fine. I know it's not the worst problem ever but it's just irritating me that the icon says there's an error but there's not. Has anyone experienced this before? I tried restarting phone but that did nothing. I'm using galaxy s7 edge.

I've never experienced that. If I get the exclamation mark, it's because I have no Internet. This is on any device - I don't have an S7e.

Back in the nexus 5 days the exclamation mark meant you had wifi connection but not connected to google services.
So its possible you do have internet but the phone isnt connected to google properly.
