Wifi keeps disconnecting on standby

[AC Question]

Ever since the AT&T update to Nougat I have been having some problems. One is with wifi. When the phone goes into standby mode, wifi shuts off. I have enabled the "always on" setting, but it still happens.

I have the Galacxy s7 Active. I have tried with and without power savings mode. wifi still drops.

Any 3rd party battery-saver apps?

I solved this. The issue was the att smart wifi app. as soon as I put it to sleep the problem stopped occurring.
