In my home my wifi router runs around 54mbps and its bdm is around -54 is that good my Verizon cdma nexus has problems staying connected, it will say its connected but wont do anything any one have any helpful info.

I take it you're running stock, not a custom ROM/kernel?

In my experience, most WiFi issues like this that I've seen on the Nexus have been on the side of the router or network, not the phone. Now, there are certainly exceptions such as the WiFi issues with JB ports and certain kernels in the past. If you could give a bit more information on your router and phone, it might help. It certainly can't hurt. :)
 
It could be a problem with the MAC address filter, or the way the router is assigning/managing IP addresses. Have you tried the not-quite-cliche router reboot?

Also, MAC filters sometimes allow basic network connection but deny most routing -- meaning no internet or perceived connection, even when showing as connected on the client device. Have you double-checked that your phone's MAC has been properly added to the filter?
