Hey guys, thanks to everyone for this informative thread. Basically I'm having a problem similar to this although I don't think it's exactly the same. I set my wifi sleep policy to never, but after a while when my phone screen has been turned off and locked, I'll turn on the screen to find I have no wifi connection.
When I check my wifi settings, it states my wifi radio is turned on, and my wifi network is working but under the status it says, "disabled." The only way to reestablish a connection is to disconnect from the wifi network then reconnect, or just reset my wifi radio. I've seen this happen on a few different router brands, from Belkin to Linksys to Cisco, some were password protected and some were not.
Normally this is not a major issue, but I'm currently using a plan with no data, so when my wifi sleeps, my phone has no internet access. Was wondering what you guys think I should do. This has been happening since my last update to newest build of froyo, FRG83D, but strangely when I first got froyo with the earlier builds, it wasn't an issue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
