WIFI SLOW

I was hoping that someone could could offer me some advise. When connected to my home WIFI my 4g lte phone is very slow while playing videos, such as youtube. It will play for several seconds then keeps stopping to load. My son can be sitting next to me on my old Evo 3G and play the same video with no hesitations at all. My wifes phone (Galaxy S) will also play the same videos with no hesitations. Since other phones have no issues inside my house, I would assume that the home WIFI is not the problem. I just cant figure out why this is happening. I have the same issues conneted to any WIFI source. Is it just my phone or do i need to change some settings? I am open to any suggestions at this point.

Go into the WIFI advanced settings and uncheck the auto setting for Frequency Band.

Try that for starters.

I just tried unchecking the auto setting for Frequency Band and got the same results, one minute youtube video paused 12-15 times during play? I also tried best wifi performance and no improvement? Do you have any other suggestions?

I don't have any other suggestions honestly. I ran into problems initially with the auto frequency checking but have been fine since then.

I remember reading about actual router settings fixing things but I don't remember if it was just connectivity issues or performance.

I was in the same situation as you. I have the og evo and evo lte. The videos on the og played fine but some of the videos on the lte buffered. What I did notice with playing the same videos on both phones is the quality on both devices is different. The og is lower quality while the lte is higher quality.

turn off Bluetooth..

I noticed when my BT was connected to my stereo BT and i had audio going to it my WiFI speeds dropped from 10-15 megs to 3-6 megs.. still plenty fast but i think the error rate increases as well..

I checked and my Bluetooth is turned off? This is driving me crazy!
