Wifi Tether Treve Mod starts with error (4.3)

still have custom recovery (cwm), su ap wont uninstal or update from playstore. ill try to instal it with my recovery. but it is safe to instal root over whats there to correct it?
also..what could have caused this to happen and will i loose the hotspot mod? sorry for all the newb questions. thank you lol

EDIT: flashed the superSU update through cwm and it fixed my superSU app immediately. Updated the app, binarys installed without a problem and restart was successful.

Will this work with stock rooted 4.3 on the SPH-L710? I got the mk3 version and flashed it and all that good stuffing I started the thering but it said tethering started with errors. Do I need to install a custom rom for this to work? And is there a way to use the native framework to tether?

If you mean the odexed Hotspot mod, my guess is that it will, but I don't really know for sure. Worst case, I don't think it will hurt anything.

Worst case is you could brick your device. I did a whole bunch of reading about mk3 and md5 and all that. Its critical that you flash the right one and to do that you need to identify your boot loader which I did by looking at the build version. I don't know if its the same for everyone but it was just right there

then yes, it is designed to work with stock TW ROMs. As the first post says: "This is based off stock firmware. This should not be used on other Roms until it is integrated."

Hey guys, hopefully I can get some help. I recently got an S4 from Sprint for the sole purpose of tethering from it. I was planning on just rooting it and running wifi tether but it seems that doesn't just work anymore. Are there any options open to me to just get data out of this thing? Ive tried looking through the links but I cant seem to find the right build in the list. I'm running 4.3 (rooted) and an MK5 build I think..

This was designed for the Galaxy S3. I don't think it will work with a Galaxy Note at all.

New user, long time reader. I have this same issue with Wifi Tether 3.3 beta 2 (start errors and no log) but my carrier is AT&T. Does this mod work with AT&T? Will the app work if I revert from 4.3 back to 4.1.2?

If you're asking about the Hotspot mod, then I'm pretty sure it only works with Sprint. There might well be a similar mod for the AT&T version, though I haven't looked for it.

I'm not sure which app you're asking about working with 4.1.2, but be very careful about downgrading. With Sprint S3s, at least, people have bricked their phones trying to use Odin to downgrade from 4.3 to earlier ROMs. Once you've got Knox, you can't go back to a non-Knox boot image.
