I updated my Droid to Froyo about 2 weeks ago and it's been running great. The other day though I was poking through some of the features and noticed that the Wifi Tethering is missing from my Wireless & Networks options. I ahve USB tethering there but not WiFi. Any ideas why it would be missing? I'm running build FRF57 38829. All the other new things identified as in Froyo are present best I can tell except this one.

It's not there for anyone. You'll need to download an app like Wireless Tether from the market.

It's supposed to be, but as this isn't anywhere near 'official' I'm sure there are bits and pieces missing here and there.

And for the record, and maybe if anyone can help me, I can't get wireless tether to work at all; even with the app.

If you got the Froyo 2.2 update from MyDroidWorld.com I think, not 100% sure of this, that there was an issue were wi-fi was missing from the 2.2 update. They did however release a kernel for overclocking 2.2 and a wi-fi patch was included with it.

'kay so I soooo missed your reply there.

FWIW, I have always been able to use my WIFI, just no WIFI tether; even with the app. Even with the new app. I can run it, it says it's running, but nothing will connect to it.
