wifi tetherning via quicksettings

I'm trying to use Quicksettings on my rooted LG Revolution in order to share internet via wifi hotspot mode. No luck, every time I hit connect it says eror.

I can tether via pdanet (usb cable) or droid tether (wirlelss BUT runs in ad-hoc mode only)

Does anyone have Quicksettings wifi access point working on a Revo?

i need wifi hotspot as well and my network admin block the adhoc too so i cant use that..
please help.
