WiFi wont connect

Frequently, my S9+ will not connect to my home WiFi and other networks. This happens randomly. WiFi is turned on. My router SSID's appear in the list of available networks. When I click on an entry it briefly highlights, indicating that the tap was detected, and then it doesn't do anything. Turning WiFi of and on does not fix it. I have to reboot the phone to get it to connect. I have just disabled AT&T Smart WiFi to see if it is causing it. Any suggestions?

Next time turn off modem and router for few minutes.

With numerous TV tablets laptops and phones, and nearby networks it happens.

Look for any channel interference too.
