Will a T-Mobile Note work on AT&T?

I am currently using an iPhone on ATT but will be pre-ordering a Note 7 tomorrow.

ATT told me they will not be offering the 256gb SD card. To me, the Note price
is more palatable if I can obtain that card as a pre-order "prize". That's a $200,
or so, card, no matter how you look at it. I see the Note as a $650 phone
with a card I can use for years to come.

I am used to iPhones being completely carrier agnostic these days.

So, my question.

Will the T-Mobile version work on ATT, or are these phones locked to their respective carriers?

I will be buying full retail, if that helps.

Only Verizon will offer the phone factory sim unlocked. Other carriers sim lock it but it can be unlocked once you meet the requirements.

Someone asked this OP's question on Samsung USA's FB wall and they said rewards are given out based on carrier and what's offered by them. I believe ALL US carriers are going to direct their customers to that link for redemption.
