Will anyone dare use the 6P without a case?

This is exactly where I am. Since my phone shipped a week before it was estimated to be available, it arrived before a case or screen protector. So, going completely naked for now ... and I like it. But, I'm just too afraid I'll drop it or something, so it's going either into a case or at least a sleeve, eventually.

Same here, no case yet. I went to the local pub Saturday and popped my sim into my Nexus 6. Thanks to a screen protector and case, my N6 is mint. I'll sell my N6 as soon as I get the case and screen protector for the 6P. I'm enjoying it naked, but if I damage it I'll cry!

I don't do cases period. Since owning the HTC m7 , I stop using cases and just start to appreciate the aesthetics of the phone. I also got tired of buying a new case yearly. I have insurance and use it if necessary..

I agree with you about the aesthetics. As I mentioned somewhere, I've also ordered a sleeve case that may be my preferred compromise: would offer protection when I'm carrying it around and, probably most likely to drop it, while still allowing me to enjoy the pleasing lines when I'm actually using it. I had one for a Blackberry years ago, and liked it. I got a clear case, but know it still won't show the phone off as much as I might like. We'll see which I end up sticking with.

No case for me either. I like the way it looks too much to hide it.

Haven't used a case since my HTC Desire years ago.

For years and years all I have heard is that the Nexus or Android phones where not premium builds...meanwhile iphone was the premium and many people that buy them run right out and cover all that premium build up with rubber/plastic cases. So much for having a premium build phone.

I will use my 6P the way I used the N5 and Galaxy Nexus. For normal activity no case, no screen protector. When I am cycling, doing yard work, or at the gym I will use a thin case over it.

Exactly! You don't need a case, or a screen protector. There only time I use a case is when I'm running because I don't feel like holding on to my phone while I run.

I don't want to get a case either but I'm worried about the little camera bump in the back. Is there any sort of screen protector that is being sold for just that section so that when I lay it down it's protected a little bit? I think that would be good. Is that section gorilla glass too?

Dropped my phone 5 times but no marks ,cracks or chips. The 6P is slipper phone. I am getting dband carbon white back to go with my Frost 6p.

This is the reason so many people are complaining that the camera bezel is all cracked on their 6P's. When they place the phone down if they are not gentle the shock is shattering the bezel area. A nice silicone clear skin will protect the phone. I purchased on from eBay. Its perfect on the phone and it his 3 buttons. The volume is seperated into 2 buttons...high/low it makes the phone so much better. Before I would pick up the phone and shut the volume.

I was planning on rocking the phone naked, but as time passed and I'm still waiting on my order to ship (ordered from Huawei, expected to ship mid to late November. I can't order from Google because I need the financing), I have ordered a dbrand skin, a TGSP (first time I'll ever use one of those instead of just plastic), and the Unicorn Beetle Slim Hybrid case. Plan is to use the case when I'm out and about, and rock it caseless at home, while having the carbon fiber skin for added grip (and also the red is sexy)

I tried, but I couldn't hold it. I use a clear gel case, and I think it actually looks much better. Also very easy to hold onto.

Can say this cases and screen protectors are hard to come by in normal shops probably until the end of the year. EBay is your best place for this. I managed to pick up sline slilcone protector yesterday. Plus a screen protector until my spigen order comes.

I'm planning on rocking it naked, at least most of the time. Generally I get a case for all of my devices but I usually only put it on when working in the garage or something. Although all of these reports of the 6P being fragile have me spooked a little and I am considering possibly using a case full time. I always take these complaints with a grain of salt though and I am going to wait until I actually get mine to decide it I feel like it needs a case for day-to-day use.

I never use cases on my phones, unless I'm doing field work (rocks and dust aren't friendly to phones). The only phone I had a major problem with was the Galaxy Nexus, which slipped out of my hand enough times to shatter the screen twice over the course of as many years (I had insurance and replaced it the first time, the second time I just moved on to a Nexus 4, which never gave me any problems).

I just got my 6P last night, 32gb Al, and I have to say it’s big. Coming from a Nexus 5 it’s going to take some time getting used to it. It’s easily one of the best looking phones I’ve ever seen. But it’s seriously feels like a slippery bar of soap or at least it feels like it out of the box. I’m hoping it’s a little easier to handle once my case is on tomorrow. I think it’s a combo of me not being use to the size and it not having the rubber backing of the N5.

I also need to get used to the power button being further down the side than the N5. I love the finger print scanner. I think because it works so well I’ll probably give Android pay a shot. I did some launch test of aps on my N5 and 6P and was surprised that my N5 wasn’t that far behind the 6P in speed of launch. On the flip side it seemed like it was flying on Chrome much faster than the N5. The camera on the 6p I also amazing, especially compared to the N5.

I honestly think Google would have made the perfect phone if they would have gone with the build and design of the 6P in the 5X size. I would have gone with the 5x but I felt like it wasn’t much of an upgrade over the N5. Anyway, I haven't even activated the phone yet because I don't want to risk using it without a case for even two days.
